DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
My thoughts on game design have condensed around a few core beliefs over the years.

1. Fewer games, more dedication
I believe in quality over quantity and I don't plan to get lots of games published quickly. In a market flooded with thousands of releases each year, I don't want to add to the flood. Instead I believe in taking the time and striving to develop the best game possible.
2. Streamlining over bloat
I like to design games with a medium degree of complexity, but I also believe in the importance of crafting a streamlined experience. Complexity should enrich the decision space and not simpy result in bloat.
3. Interaction doesn't mean take that
Too often people seem to reduce the concept of player interaction to "take that" mechanics. One of my goals as a game designer is that of exploring design space that allows players to interact in new and more positive ways.
4. Design is team work
I truly believe that the best games are the result of a tight cooperation between designer, playtesters and publisher. The vision of the designer is important, but it should never become an osbtacle to making the game better.
